I love entertaining throughout the holidays. Whether we’re wrapping presents, sitting down to a formal dinner on Christmas Day, or watching football on New Years, it seems like there are usually more mouths to feed and they are always hungry! One recipe I have found that is an easy crowd pleaser is Win Schuler’s take on a Chili Con Queso. It is easy to make, keeps well and is the perfect comfort food.

Check out the recipe here:

Chili con Win Schuler’s Cheese Spread

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 14 ½ oz. can diced tomatoes

  • 1 16 oz. can dark red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 15 -16 oz. can pinto beans, drained
  • 1 package chili seasoning mix
  • ½ tsp. dried basil
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 2 – 4 oz. Win Schuler’s Original or
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese Spread

Melt margarine over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until tender. In large sauce pan brown ground beef and drain. Stir in the onion and garlic, un-drained diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, pinto beans, chili seasoning, basil and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 15 – 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 – 4 oz. Win Schuler’s Cheese Spread (Sharp Cheddar or Original.)
