“Peace and quiet” – that is something we all desire, but maybe rarely experience.

Think about it  … how often are you in a place where you have no noise, no distractions or any period of time (if ever)?  Probably, even in those rare moments when you find yourself alone – you may have the TV on or you are looking at your phone.

There can definitely be value in silence.

  • It’s a great way to de-stress and calm down.
  • It decreases muscle tension.
  • It helps you improve your awareness and creativity … it’s often when we are void of noise and distraction, we get epiphanies of about life or we are discover new or creative ideas.

But if we are honest, we are sometimes are afraid of silence.  To be alone with our thoughts – it’s why we regularly seek out distractions and fill our lives without all sorts of noise.

If  you want more peace, you probably need more quiet.
