In the realm of multitasking, Indianapolis residents have taken bathroom phone usage to new heights.

Recent data reveals that 90% of Indianapolis locals bring their phones to the bathroom most of the time, the highest rate in the U.S.

But the commitment doesn’t stop there.

A substantial 72% of Indianapolis residents regularly play games while on the toilet, ranking fourth highest nationwide.

This dedication has physical consequences: 32% report experiencing “toilet legs”—that familiar numbness from extended sitting sessions.

For context, the national average for phone use on the toilet is 65.7%, making Indianapolis’ 90% notably higher.

This trend may also contribute to Indiana’s high toilet paper consumption; residents use over 5,400 feet per person annually, placing the state in the top 10 for both usage and spending.

Do you think this is true? I think people in Indianapolis might just be more honest than people in other cities.
