Dave Coulier, known for his role in ‘Full House,’ has been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
The 65-year-old actor appeared on ‘Today‘ and said he first noticed symptoms after getting a cold and discovering a large lump in his groin.
“It swelled up immediately,” he said. “I thought, ‘Wow, I’m either really sick, or my body’s really reacting to something.’”
The diagnosis shocked Coulier, who expressed disbelief after the doctor informed him.
“The first thing I said to them was, ‘Wait a minute — cancer?’” he recalled. “(I was) feeling like I got punched in the stomach because it never happens to you. You always hear about it happening to someone else.”
Coulier said he has started chemo and has six rounds of chemo every three weeks and is expected to finish his treatment by February.
