Are you looking for some companionship?! Are you excited to have a furry friend join your family?! Look no further! Our adoptable pet of the week is an adorable cat named Brownie! Brownie is a senior female cat who has been at the shelter searching for a home for over 60 days.
“Hi I’m Brownie! Sadly, I came into the shelter when my owner passed away. It was a very scary place to be and I was not happy. Thankfully a foster took me in and I’ve been so much happier ever since!! Even though I am 13 years old, I still know how to play like a young cat! I am happy to entertain myself, but I also let my foster entertain me when she wants to. I love zooming around for no reason and going from window to window “chasing” birds and rabbits! I am curious, especially when you are eating, as you may just want to share with me. I’m not much for being picked up, but don’t worry, I still love to snuggle and hang out on your lap or back. While it does take me some time to feel comfortable and warm up, once I do all is right with the world. I tolerate other cats but would be fine with or without them. I haven’t been around dogs or kids, so not sure how I would do with them.”
Adoptions are currently Free and by appointment only. To schedule an appointment they will need to submit an adoption application online at, www.indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. All of our adoptable animals can be viewed on that site as well!
