Sad news out of the world of rock and roll with the passing of Eddie Money, who churned out huge hit songs in the 70’s and 80’s like “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Take Me Home Tonight” and “Baby Hold On,” among others. Most recently, Money starred with his entire family on the reality program “Real Money.”  Just last month Eddie revealed he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, with initial reports saying he passed away due to complications from a recent heart valve procedure.

To see and hear Eddie speak you got the feeling he was an easygoing wise guy from New York, because he was.  Following the footsteps of most men in his family, Eddie worked as a police officer before quitting to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a rock star. You can say he more than accomplished that dream with a string of hit songs and a career that spanned four decades.  Eddie Money was 70-years-old.
