Clark, Haliburton Named Among Indiana’s Most Influential
The Indianapolis Business Journal has released its annual list of the 250 Most Influential Hoosiers, and 2025’s honorees include sports stars Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton, along with more than 60 new faces across business, government, and community sectors.
“Every year, we see fresh faces stepping up and driving meaningful change across Indiana,” said Nathan Feltman, President & CEO of IBJ Media. “The Indiana 250 is a snapshot of those bold thinkers and doers who are shaping the future of our state — from innovative entrepreneurs to dedicated community advocates.”
Now in its fourth year, the list is a collaborative effort by the Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside INdiana Business, and Indiana Lawyer. Compiled over several months, the process includes reviewing nominations, researching statewide organizations, and consulting local leaders to spotlight Hoosiers making an impact.
The 2025 class features a strong sports presence, thanks in part to a big year for Indiana athletics. Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton join a roster of sports figures that includes Herb Simon, Tamika Catchings, and Doug Boles.
“This has been a huge year in sports—with Notre Dame playing in the college football national championship game, the Pacers in the NBA Finals, Indianapolis hosting the WNBA All-Star Game and the Indiana Sports Corp. securing the Olympic swimming trials for 2028,” said Lesley Weidenbener, editor of IBJ and the Indiana 250. “It’s no surprise we ended up with a large number of new people on the list who represent sports.”
Honorees will be celebrated at a private event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
