I came across this list of the “most under the radar steakhouses” in each state.  In Indiana, ours is Bynum’s on Indy’s south side.

Cheapism recently spotlighted the best under-the-radar steakhouses in each state, focusing on local, chef- or family-owned gems known more to locals than tourists. In Indiana, Bynum’s Steakhouse in Martinsville took the top spot. Known for its oversized prime rib and Madagascar lobster tails, this Indianapolis-area favorite has built a solid reputation over 20 years. Though sides are simple, the steak is certified Angus, and desserts are freshly made. Interestingly, Bynum’s is so low-profile that it’s barely visible on Google Maps!

“Locally owned and operated for more than 20 years, this Indianapolis-area fixture has built a reputation on excellent prime rib and Madagascar lobster tails. The prime rib is a 32-ounce, bone-in cut, and the lobster tails are equally oversized at 24 ounces. (The restaurant sometimes has 40-ounce lobster tails on hand.) But this is a steakhouse, after all, and the beef is certified Angus, with cuts ranging between a half-inch to 2 inches in thickness. You won’t have many choices for sides (onion soup, a house salad, and a potato come with each meal) but there are always several freshly made desserts ranging from cheesecake to blackberry cobbler. ”  – Cheapism

We’ve been there, but it’s been a long time. They have big cow statues out front and if they have that, you know it’s going to be good 🙂
