Show Schedule - B 105.7
LISTEN TO SEAN COPELAND WEEKDAYS 5AM – 10AM ON B105.7Even if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, Sean will turn your day around before you get into work. Now THAT’S a co-worker you want to carpool with. When Sean passes the mic to Ann at 10am, you can usually find him out-and-about in Indy finding the new hot spots to eat, hanging out with his dog Brady, and sharing his hilarious #blessed stories… ‘B’ sure to keep up with him! FOLLOW SEAN:
GET TO KNOW SEANHOMETOWN: Wolf Lake, IL (Population 300… counting dogs & cats) CAREER HISTORY: When I was in high school, my friend’s dad owned a radio station. I begged him for a job and thinking it would be awkward to reject his son’s friend, he hired me. Since then I’ve worked in Dayton, Tulsa, St. Louis, Sacramento, Kansas City, and now Indianapolis. FAVORITE LIVE MUSIC VENUE: Any small intimate venue where I can sit and be sung to, like a coffee shop. Here in town I love the Circle Theatre and Symphony on the Prairie in the summertime! FAVORITE CONCERT I’VE EVER ATTENDED: Don Williams, The Eagles, or Fleetwood Mac. Tough to decide between those 3. MOVIES: Groundhog Day is my favorite movie of all time. I also never met a documentary I didn’t like. I recently got a great one from the library about asparagus farming. If you check it out (you know you want to), let me know what you think! TELEVISION: Curb Your Enthusiasm is the funniest show that’s ever been on television. There you have it. The matter is settled. Other than that… any “whodunnit” murder show (Dateline, 48 Hours, etc), and PBS Frontline (see previous note about my love of documentaries). LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I was named after John Lennon’s son Sean, and I once ran for political office (and lost). FAVORITE LOCAL RESTAURANTS: Vida, Bluebeard, any of the over priced steak places.. I could go on. Seriously. That’s like asking a mother to name her favorite child. FAVORITE THING ABOUT WORK: Getting up in the middle of the night… oh wait, I thought you said “least” favorite thing. TYPICAL BREAKFAST: I don’t usually eat breakfast (don’t judge me). FAVORITE ROADTRIP FROM INDY: Back home toward the St. Louis area. I crave St. Louis style pizza and have to go get a fix every now and then. If you’ve never had STL pizza, let me show you the way 🙂 LIKE TO COOK? Yeah… I’m trying to master the art of BBQ on my smoker (low and slow baby… low and slow). PETS: A golden doodle rescue named Brady. THREE OF MY EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS: Coffee wtih stevia, La Croix, water with organic lemon juice (I’m very beverage centric). THREE THINGS TO DO BEFORE I DIE: 1) Go the airport with no destination in mind and just buy a ticket to a random place on the spot. 2) See the Pacers win an NBA championship. 3) Learn how to change a tire (I seriously don’t know how, so if you see me on the side of 465… please stop and help… oh wait, I have AAA. Nevermind. Carry on.).
MONDAY – FRIDAY | 10am – 3pm
My career days started out in advertising doing everything from typical PR work, to writing and of course voice-over work. The voice-over work I started when I was still in high school. I didn’t even think of radio as an option. Though I loved recording and writing, I never thought of radio as an option for me, the typical shy type. Then one day after leaving a recording session, that my best friend had attended with me, she said, “if you don’t take your tape to a radio station or to Disney, I’m going to send it in for you”. Within a day or two another friend was going into a radio station for a meeting. So, I asked him to take my resume in with him. He did, I got hired, and after two weeks of being on the air I knew that I had found my passion.
My other passion is writing. I’ve written three books for adults and a number of personalized children’s books. Right now, I’m working on a spooky story for adults.
Most people who know me would include reading, growing vegetables and cooking as passions. They’re probably right. I’m always reading at least two books at the same time. And whenever I can’t think, I head to the kitchen and begin creating or I head for the garden. Typically, my Sheltie, Shakespeare and my Maltese, Sammy go with me. Sam has even travelled to the herb farm in southern Indiana with me several times. And when my husband Edward is travelling for business, Sam thinks he must take over being the man of the house. Sam’s cute, and Shakespeare is the sweetest. Between us we have three adult children. We try to have breakfast with them and my mom once a week. And we love cooking outside for them.
Something else that makes me very happy is just walking. My husband and I love taking walks together. Whether it’s along the canal, through a park, or in and around our neighborhood, I think we’re happiest walking and holding hands.
MONDAY – FRIDAY | 2-7pm
As a kid growing up in Chicago I loved listening to the amazing, entertaining radio personalities on Chicago radio and knew it’s what I wanted to do. Even though my parents encouraged me to have a “back up” plan just in case this radio thing didn’t work out, I am fortunate to have worked in radio since I was 18-years-old. Radio has taken me from Chicago, to Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, California and back to Indiana! And along the way I’ve been blessed to have my wife Julie and two great kids Evan and Olivia.
When I’m not on the radio, I love spending time with my family. My wife Julie does speaking , my son Evan loves basketball and all sports (a love I share with him), and my daughter Olivia is an artist and crazy about animals – especially our dog Zack. We also love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters together! I have my Masters in Counseling and do so some work with a private practice,. I’m also in a billion fantasy football leagues (if someone asks, I can’t say no – so please don’t ask me to be in one … my wife will thank you).

Initially radio was not my first career choice, becoming an architect was what I really wanted to do. As a kid I sketched houses, office buildings and cars and later built models of those only to have my younger brother destroy them once I was out of the house. In high school I continued to build models of homes and office buildings somehow ended up in theater, from there came the interest in radio and TV.Being in radio has afforded me the chance to sit down with former President Ford, Henry Kissinger, Larry King, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, REO Speed Wagon, Rod Stewart, and many others. I love this job!In my time away from the microphone, you’ll find me, at church, in the gym working out, getting my daughter to her orchestra and track practice, trying to learn all over again how to bowl, reading, working on my golf game (if the weather is right- about 75 degrees) and watching Nickelodeon with my daughter! (we’re huge fans of Nickelodeon).
