    Mindy Winkler

headshot of Mindy WinklerMindy Winkler (Jarosinski) is a true Hoosier having never lived outside of Central Indiana!

Born/bred in Anderson (Madison Heights – YAY PIRATES!), she gained her BS and MS from Ball State (Chirp! Chirp!) and she’s lived in Fishers/Geist for nearly 3 decades!
Mindy was an Indiana Twisters “Windjammer” cheerleader (Indoor Soccer), a Syrens dancer for the semi-pro Tornados football and even an Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader—during Peyton Manning’s first 2 seasons!

Mindy is mainly known from reporting traffic on 9 different Indy stations—one of which she worked directly with the lovely/talented Ann Richards!  Prior to radio, Mindy was the last to wear the infamous “red suit” as the WTTV/WB4 Kids Club Host “Commander KC.”  She also created/led an award-winning song/dance program Mindy and The Fun Company which toured the Midwest entertaining/educating children on issues like anti-drugs/tobacco/bullying, health/fitness, character/self-esteem & more—using parodies of popular 70/80s tunes. The group was honored with feature articles in Ball State Alumnus magazine and in Indpls Business Journal’s “Women in Business.”
She’s the very proud mom of her smart and talented Fishers High freshman, Garrett; and the two of them became a blended family in 2015 with her wonderful/supportive hubby Bob and his 3 handsome sons: Dustin (20), Brady (18) and CJ (14).

Mindy loves running/weight training, but also loves chips/salsa and craft beers (IPAs especially)—hence the NEED to work out. LOL!
She can quote movies of nearly every genre; she’s a giant Seinfeld fan and loves binge-watching Netflix.
Mindy loves traveling, boating, any college or professional football or basketball game (esp Colts/Pacers).
Mindy “doesn’t know a stranger” and probably could win the award for world’s worst cook… she actually burned Easy Mac!
Mindy feels incredibly blessed that God has brought her back to the radio scene and with such an amazing team… even better, with her FAVORITE music!  She can’t thank her friends/family/listeners enough for their continued love and support, and looks forward to spending the weekends with each of you! 🙂
