The WNBA All-Star Weekend 2025 is taking over Indianapolis—and the best part?
Many events are totally free and open to the public!
Whether you’re a hoops fan, an art lover, or just looking for something fun to do downtown, there’s something for everyone.
Here’s a roundup of must-see free events happening around Indy during the celebration:
1. Indy Hoops Pass
Explore basketball-themed attractions across the city. The Indy Hoops Pass gives you access to exclusive courts, pop-ups, and fan zones.
2. Art & Photo Opps

Take selfies and capture memories with murals, installations, and basketball-themed art scattered around downtown.
- Caitlin Clark photo mural: NIKE places a large multi story billboard advertisement of Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark taking a long distance jump shot on the front of the JW Marriott.
- Tamika Catchings Mural:
South Bend artist Nate Baranowski, with help from Indianapolis’ own Brooke McGee, is painting a tribute to Indiana Fever legend, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Tamika Catchings. The mural is going up on a residential building at the corner of Mass Ave, New Jersey Street, and Michigan Street, near the Etheridge Knight mural. It’s expected to be completed in late June and stay up for the next 15 years. - Indianapolis Artsgarden Temporary Murals:
Local artists Phyllicia Carr and Amiah Mims are teaming up for a new set of murals at the Artsgarden downtown. With the theme “Red Hot Summer,” these vibrant works will be on display starting July 11 at the corner of Illinois and Washington streets. - Victory Series Sidewalk Galleries:
Downtown storefronts will soon be filled with color thanks to a new series of murals and poetry by Indianapolis artists Tasha Beckwith, Tiffany Black, Christina Hollering, Shaunt’e Lewis, Ashley Nora, and Koda Witsken. Look for their work along Monument Circle, Meridian and Washington streets, and at the Motto Hotel construction fence (Meridian & Washington), McCrea Street, Jackson Place, and Pennsylvania Street. - 3D Chalk Art Mural:
Artist Nate Baranowski will also bring a new 3D chalk art mural to life. (Exact location still to be announced.) - ‘W’ Sculptures:
