This is the Top Reason Women Commit Adultery
Men, This One’s for You: The Power of Kindness and Compliments
This morning, a female college walked into the studio and said, “I agree, Sean!” She was referring to a recent poll that found the top motivator for women to commit infidelity: a lack of kindness or compliments.
Guys, let that sink in. It’s not money, looks, or even excitement—it’s kindness and appreciation.
Now, I’m not here to justify infidelity. What I am here to do is help you bulletproof your relationship. And one of the simplest, most effective ways to do that? Be kind. Be appreciative.
Kindness Is in the Details
Kindness isn’t just about grand gestures—it’s the little things. Saying “please” and “thank you.” Asking how her day was and actually listening. Offering to help before she even asks. Asking, “How can I make being in a relationship with me better?”
The Compliment Habit
This is why, in my work with couples, I have them share three verbal appreciations every day. Sounds simple, right? But here’s the kicker: We are wired to scan for what’s wrong. If you train yourself to notice and verbalize what’s right—what you love, admire, or are grateful for—it shifts everything.
Now, ask yourself this: Do you think women who feel valued and appreciated are out there looking for validation elsewhere? Not many. At the very least, you’ve removed the number one reason from even being a factor. So, if you’re a man reading this, here’s your challenge: Be kind. Give compliments. Every day. Your relationship will thank you for it.
