Consumer Reports: 10 Most Reliable Used Car Brands
I am a disciple of Consumer Reports. I don’t buy much without checking with them first. They’re non-profit, totally unbiased. Big fan!
They’re out with a big new ranking of the most reliable used car brands:
- Lexus
- Toyota
- Mazda
- Acura
- Honda
- Buick
- BMW
- Subaru
- Nissan
- Mercedes-Benz
I can attest to the top 5…
- I’ve owned 2 Hondas. Loved ‘em both. Almost no trouble with either.
- Acura. That’s what I drive now, a 2017 Acura. I’ve only had it for about 10 months, but no issues so far. In fact, an old buddy of mine used to work in the service department at an Acura dealership and he quit because it was so boring. He said nothing was ever wrong with them. He said he just did oil changes all day.
- Mazda. I owned a Mazda back in the day. Loved it.
- Toyota. That’s what my husband Andy drives. His has 100,000 miles and he’s done nothing but routine maintenance.
- Lexus. That’s all my in-laws will drive… old Lexus SUVs. My father in law drives a 16 year old Lexus with 350,000 miles on it and still going strong!
