RECAP: Radio One Women’s History Month Honoree Event – 30 Indianapolis Woman Honored
Last night, the Radio One Women’s History Month Honoree Event was held at the beautiful Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT) to celebrate 30 extraordinary women from Indianapolis.
What an atmosphere filled with inspiration, gratitude, and celebration!
The event proved to be a heartfelt homage to the incredible achievements of the honorees.
At 5 PM, the doors opened for the VIP Networking reception.
Guests began to arrive, welcomed by a check-in team ready with name tags and champagne tickets for the honorees.
The room quickly filled with excitement as honorees mingled with one another, posed at the photo booth, and explored the interactive vendor spaces.
WTLC’s very own Karen Vaughn wrapped up the networking hour by gathering everyone for a celebratory toast recognizing the honorees, lifting glasses of champagne in their honor.
The event opened for the public at 6 PM, and guests were guided to their seats.
The energy in the room continued to grow throughout the night as hosts Karen Vaughn, Amira, and Eric Garnes took to the stage.
Our hosts welcomed all attendees and thanked the sponsors and partners that made the night possible, including KC Jewels, Deandrea Michele, Body Butters by K, Nameless Catering, and the IRT.
Danielle Dove, the Director of Marketing and Sales for the IRT, added to the warm welcome by sharing upcoming theater projects, bridging the arts with the celebration of women’s achievements.
A moving keynote speech followed by Andrea Geiger Kaher, setting the tone for the awards presentation.
The spotlight started to shine brightly on the honorees as each of their incredible journeys was highlighted through personalized slideshows and audio clips describing their efforts in the community.
Each woman took the stage to accept her award, greeted by applause from those in attendance. Photos were captured to commemorate the special moment, embodying the pride and joy that filled the room.
With all honorees recognized, the night concluded with final remarks from the hosts, heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, and a unifying photo of all 30 honorees gathered on stage.
The Radio One Women’s History Month Honoree Event was not only a celebration of local achievements but also a powerful reminder of the impact women have across all walks of life.
It was a night of gratitude, connection, and inspiration that left everyone in attendance with full hearts and a renewed sense of purpose.
