Our countdown to Thanksgiving continues with our “21 Days of Gratitude.”  Taking time each day to acknowledge a person or an area of life we are thankful for.

My wife received some hard news yesterday.  Her best friend, who is battling cancer, took a turn for the worse and the prognosis is not good.  Maybe you can relate.  Maybe you have a loved one who is struggling with their health or maybe you are the one.  It is in moments like these we often find how we can easily take our health for granted.

At any given time, we might have aches and pains or temporary sickness, but we can still be thankful that relatively speaking we are healthy and, in most cases, we will be feeling better soon.  Be grateful for that.  If you are feeling well today, be grateful for that, too.

And for those who are not feeling well today – whether it’s a cold or because of a life-altering diagnosis, my prayer is for health and healing in your life.  And even in the midst of your pain, you can find a reason to be thankful, too.
