Where complaining comes from in your relationship and what to do about it!

In addition to hosting mornings on B105.7, I work in the afternoons as a licensed therapist…and on Tuesday mornings I’ll share a nugget or two that can maybe tune up a relationship or your own mental health.  I call it Tune Up Tuesday.

Complaining comes in the space between your expectations and your reality.  The easiest way to reduce complaining in your relationship is to reign in your expectations.  If you married someone knowing they are disorganized, it’s unfair to assume that they’ll suddenly start keeping great records and a tight calendar.  In a case like that, the best chance for change comes from you.  Try to decrease your expectations and increase your acceptance… and see if you find yourself wanting to complain less.
