Today, the importance of knowing what you’re REALLY fighting about.  Are you really fighting about the dishes in the sink?  Or are you fighting about how you don’t feel heard or maybe how you feel underappreciated?

It’s also possible you’re REALLY fighting about something from your past… your childhood or a previous relationship that your partner is just triggering.  In the therapy world, we say… if it’s hysterical, it’s historical.  That is to say, if you are REALLY freaking out about the dishes.  Maybe it’s not about the dishes.  The bottom line is – in order to fix what you’re upset about, you first have to know what you’re REALLY upset about.
