The importance of doing something new. That’s this week’s Tune Up Tuesday. In addition to hosting mornings on B105.7, I work in the afternoon as a therapist at Evolve Therapy in Greenwood, Indiana.
Tune up Tuesday is where I give you a little nugget you may be able to use to “tune up” your relationship.
Love is often steamier at the beginning because it’s novel, it’s new. You can still have this in a long term relationship. You just have to be a little more intentional about it. So, how can you do this? What about taking your intimacy to a different room? Go to the garage, go to the car. If your budget allows, get a hotel room. And it’s not just physical stuff that ought to remain novel… heck, order takeout from a different place. When your relationship is new, everything is amazing and exciting and with small acts of intentionally, you can preserve that for years to come.
