When was the last time you took a small child to a nearby pond to feed the ducks? I’ve done that too. It makes the child and the ducks happy. However, feeding bread to ducks is not the best thing to do.
As the saying … sort of … goes … ducks cannot live on bread alone. Plus, like kids with candy, they will fill up on it and won’t feel the need to eat anything else.
So, please leave the bread at home and feed them one of these healthier duck snacks:
FROZEN CORN OR PEAS (THAWED)
GRAPES (CUT INTO HALVES)
LETTUCE ( OR OTHER LEAFY GREENS) CUT INTO SMALL PIECES
OATS (ROLLED OR INSTANT)
