You have probably heard of the 5-second rule when it comes to dropping food on the floor, but what about the 10-second rule when it comes to saving money?

The 10-second rule is a simple tip, that when applied can help you make better spending decisions and in turn, spend less.  The next time you go to buy something, whether it is online or in the store, wait 10-seconds.  In that short time span, ask yourself some simple questions like, “Do I really need this?” or “Do I have the money for this?”

Chances are, taking 10-seconds to consider these questions will help you make better decisions on how you spend your money and ultimately spend less.
