The countdown to Thanksgiving continues with our “21 Days of Gratitude” – an opportunity to “give thanks” for something or someone every day leading up to turkey day.

When was the last time you played?  When we think of playing, we generally think of it as something kids do.  That makes sense.  Kids should play.  But adults should to.  Yes, it might look different.  You may no longer play hide and seek or tag.  But play and recreation is an important of our lives and it’s good for our health, mentally and physically.

It is easy to take for granted, but we should be thankful for the opportunities to play.  Whether it’s a board game, a round of golf, a video game with your kid, or just being “playful” with friends, playing and recreation enhance our lives. Be thankful that your life doesn’t have to revolve around work and paying bills.  And if it has, let this serve as a reminder that you’ve been given a great gift to be like a kid, have fun, and play!

So that’s your Day 3 challenge – take time to play and be grateful for the opportunity to have fun..
