Our countdown to Thanksgiving continues with our “21 Days of Gratitude.”  Taking time each day to acknowledge a person or an area of life we are thankful for.

Today we want to express thanks for our provision.  I was going to say jobs, but some of you might be out of work or maybe in a job that you really, really dislike.  I am certainly sympathetic to that …

So let’s broaden this – rather than just focus on jobs, let’s turn our gratitude for provision.  We probably don’t spend a lot of time thinking that way.

See – if you have a job that you love and/or provides you with what you need, be thankful.  Even if you have a job you dislike and doesn’t pay you enough, you can still be thankful for how it does help provide for your needs.  And even if you are out of work, you can be thankful for the help from others that help provide for your needs.

This is never to minimize your situation.  But remember a big part of gratitude is focusing on what you have – not on what you don’t have.

You might not have everything you want, and some might struggle to have what you need, but you have something.  So whether it’s through a paycheck or the help of others, be thankful today for provision.
