Weekdays at 4:50 Scott plays the soft rock block mini-preview, very
quick clips of three songs. The first person to correctly identify
the song titles at 681-1057 wins that day's B105.7 prize pack! Then
at 5:00 Scott will play back the three songs in their entirety.
I was born in a country far far away, but have lived in Indy since
I was one year old. I grew up on the east side of Indy, and by the
time I was 12 I was hooked on music and radio, listening to Indy DJs
like Jay Reynolds, Cris Connor, Bill Shirk, Michael T. John Griffin,
and Buddy Scott (I've since had the chance to work with most of them).
I was soon riding my bicycle to my first job in radio. Most radio
people travel from city to city, but I've remained in Indy, even turning
down a job offer from a station in Hawaii once (it came in June...if
it had been January, I might have gone). I've been lucky enough to
work at many Indy radio stations as a DJ, music director and program
director, playing everything from rock hair bands, to country, to
pop and hip-hop. Downtown Indianapolis has really grown in the last
few years, and it's great to be working on Monument Circle, in the
heart of the city.
